Software Developer (La Porte, IN)

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our IT team at NYB. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software development using Microsoft technologies and interest in cloud and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying software solutions that meet our business objectives. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a passion for clean and efficient code, and enjoys solving complex problems with smart, scalable software.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Create and manage complex databases and queries in SQL Server
  • Develop and integrate Web Services and work extensively with APIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust IT solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and support of software solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and follow best practices in coding and security

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in C# and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Solid experience working with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and Web Services
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Exposure to Python for scripting or automation
  • Interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies or frameworks

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications are a plus ( Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer, AWS Certified Developer)
